telling your job your preggers!?!?

I am extremely nervous to tell my job I'm pregnant. I'm 10w6d pregnant and just started a new job at a hospital two weeks ago. I'm scared when I announce I'm pregnant I'll be fired! Any suggestions on how to tell them?!? I'm so freaking out I don't want to loose my job.

I'd also add that you may want to hold off on telling them until you have passed any sort of probationary period. I believe during that time they can let you go without offering any sort of reason. An exception to that would be if you work in an area that you will not need to avoid like x-rays or somewhere with a lot of communicable diseases

Remember it's illegal to be fired for being for being preg. That said, stuff can happen. My best recommendation would be to walk in there with at least some sort of a plan to offer them for when you go on maternity leave. Let them know that you're already thinking ahead and you want to do what's best for the company (well, do what's best for you but make it look the other way lol).
