Age for babies?

I know that you can have a baby at any age after you become fertile. But what I'm trying to ask is, at what age is it socially acceptable to start trying/have a baby?

My hubby was very concerned about his age and it being socially acceptable for him to become a father. He said he wanted to be at least 24 before we have a baby. We have been married for 3 years and are finally trying!! I've been waiting for this a long time :) our parents and friends have been asking us about babies for a while.

I think some people might judge young parents but what can you do about that? People will judge you for all kinds of things.

The most important thing is to have a strong, honest, and loving relationship. Sure it might be nice to build a career first but that's a personal choice. No one should judge people for choosing to focus on a family first.

Before I got married people told me I was too young. I'm 20 now and people have been asking me since the SECOND I got married when we're going to be having kids

Every culture is different - in some cultures by the time you're 20 people expect you to have children and be married, in others by the time you're 30 people expect you to have children and be married. It all really depends on what you want and how mature you are. I know 18 year old parents that are more mature and responsible than 30 year old parents. Just depends
