Family opposition?

I am announcing my pregnancy and my family is very hurt. I am 20 almost 21 and a junior in college. They are not asking for abortions or anything. They are just telling me that they are disappointed in me. It hurts my feelings a lot. How to deal with this?

I have never experienced this, but I will tell you a bit of advice, starting first with something you may know but don't want to hear just yet....
At this moment, your family is probably saying these things because they love you and want what's best for you, they probably wanted better for you than a young pregnancy and no degree.  They are probably afraid for you.
Pregnancy makes strong women out of us even as it physically weakens us.  I had been fairly active and in my first trimester became a zombie. But pregnancy made me tough in other ways. I stand up for myself more and I don't take excuses for people mistreating me or lying to me. There is a seritch that comes on that it is you and your baby and I one is going to stand in our way. In my case , even my loving husband can become enemy of the state. 
Right now you needed support from your family and they gave you the wrong kind of support. It may have been different if they said that they wanted different for you, but they are behind you.
This is your moment to shine.  College is not necessarily over; although it will become harder and you may have to take a break or take online classes. But you can finish. And you can be an excellent mother. And you can get a job and work hard for your little one. Eventually your family will come round.
I hope the dad is in the picture; my husband is my rock and having that love is crucial.  But if he is MIA, unsupportive, find a good friend to lean on.

I think they are feeling this way and saying this as they know how difficult it will be for you. Can you finish school and raise your baby? Absolutely. Is it going to hard? Absolutely. I'm a FTM and fortunately not in college; I have a steady job and graduated ages ago. But I couldn't imagine having gone to college, working, and having a new born. I'm already anxious with how I'm gonna have time to do everything for my new child AND work a stressful, draining, full time job. Fortunately I have my spouse to help but I know it'll still be exhausting and hard at times.

I think the more time that passes the more they will settle into the idea and once baby arrives they will love him/her, you, and hopefully be supportive. What's done is done. At some point they'll need to accept what has occurred or they can choose to remain upset. It's all up to them how they want to proceed with their thoughts and feelings.

Honestly, it may be something you never forget. Stick to your plan. Go to class, be successful (whatever that means to you), love your baby and love your family even if they need some time to come around. They will love their grandbaby. Life throws you curve balls. Show them all what a blessing that can be. :)

Id double up my courses and finish a bit earlier if possible before i give birth. I got pregnant in the end of my first trinester of last year of university. I was 21. My husband and i had planned everything so i had doubled up courses and only had i think 3 in the end of my pregnancy. I finished university at 8 months pregnant. My friend got pregnant and had a baby the year before with her husband. She took half a year off then continued...but she had her MIL help alot and thabkfully her husband was 10 years older and had a steady career. Im sorry your family isnt accepting...even if itll be hard your pregnant and need support not having family upset at you...plus your 20 your not 13 and you can drive work and your almost done university. You just have to go about it, I know that's easier said than done but.. once the baby is here and your become further along those feelings will subside and they'll have no choice but to be happy for you and support you. You know what's best for you and I'm sure without support it has To be very very hard but I do believe it will pass and they will love the baby!
