Should they be Paid?

My teacher was explaining to the class how she went and got a hairstyle at a salon and when it was over it was not what she asked for at all but still paid 60$ for it. My question is should she have paid for that hairstyle if it wasn't what she asked for? And In general, if you go somewhere and ask for something even if work is put into it and don't get what you asked for should that person still be paid?

I would at least pay half. Definitely not in full and they did put in the effort so to not give anything is wrong.

I went to the salon a month or so ago and had to pay $260 for something I absolutely hate, I understand they've used products and time but I don't think I should've paid full price.

My hairstylist has always said "If you don't like it, come back and we will redo it and I will give you a refund."

Only once I have had too and that was when she used the wrong dye in my hair and after the first wash it came out and badly. I looked like murdered someone! My hair was supposed to be brown with red low lights. Not red with brown low lights.

If they just completely mess up then no. Like if they dye your hair a different color than what had been agreed upon or if the haircut you get is shorter than what was agreed upon or just completely messed up.

If it's something small and fixable then the hairstylist should fix it and then be paid (at a discount rate if it was hair dye because that damages your hair or if it requires another appointment).

Yeah I still pay for it but if it's not what you want you should say something to the hairdresser and give them the opportunity to fix it. They don't want to send you away unhappy but they're people who make mistakes too.

I've had a hairdresser make me totally blonde when I only asked for highlights. I did not pay and was super angry about it. They didn't dare make a fuss over not being paid. 😑

I've had to pay a huge amount once and they made me blonde after asking for light brown hair. I was pissed, I had a formal to go a week later and I hated being blonde. I waited a few months then died it brown myself. I wasn't going to pay more money after they fucked up. I showed the lady a picture of a girl with the colour I want and I said if anything just a little darker than that and she went full blonde with highlights. I didn't even ask for highlights. I think she just did whatever to my hair just to charge more.

Depends how terrible it is. If it's not that bad I pay. If I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, I wouldn't. But I've never colored my hair much and I've just gotten trims my whole life except once I got bangs. I liked them but I prefer my long natural beachy wavy blonde hair. I got lucky.

If during the hair cut you tell them the problem and they still don't do anything then yes you should be refunded and they fix the problem free of charge. If this is the case you should leave looking as close as you did when you went in, not worse
