Bought a doppler!! No heartbeat??

Question

I'm terrified!!!! Or a dummy??? Please tell me I just need to learn how to use this thing because I spent 30 minutes, even my husband took some time with the wand looking for baby's heartbeat and we heard noise alright but no heartbeat!!!! I got quite anxious and just tried to calm myself and trust God but this IS a high risk pregnancy so I am going to have those thoughts in the back of my head, ya know? Anyone have their own Doppler (mines a sonoline b) and can tell me how to use it?

I finally found baby's heartbeat!!! It was really down low toward my pelvic bone. I'm 14 weeks today, so that really surprised me!! It was to my right just a smidge...I did like someone suggested, started out around just above the pelvic bone and moved at a literal snail like pace. Well, patience is a virtue my friends, bc I found baby's heart beat!!!  Now I'm addicted!!! Its such a beautiful sound!

I have a tilted uterus and a Doppler won't work on me! I think purchasing those things cause
More stress than it's worth!

I could only find baby's heartbeat really low and too the right. Almost over ovary.

Okay first, how many weeks are you? 
A lot of girls have been making posts about trying to find their babies heartbeat at 13-14 weeks and not being able to. And they go to the doctor and they're fine! The baby is still really small and has lots of places to hide. I'll be 15 weeks on Thursday and my baby is always moving around so much I can only catch the heartbeat for a few seconds. Also, are you using gel with your doppler? I realized the more you use, the easier it is to hear it. Do not worry if you can't find it. My doppler says to be able to find the heartbeat at between 8-16 weeks it needs to be "ideal conditions".

I'm 15 weeks 3 days and heart beat is on my knicker line where the top of my underwear sits. I thought it would be higher and panicked when I first used a Doppler cause I was going over near my belly button lol. Try lower down, you'll be surprised and don't worry. I don't always find it baby might be hiding x

11w3d, you have to go super low, almost to where your pubic hair is/would be. Mine is towards the right just a hair. Once you hear the swishing of the placenta, tilt the wand towards your vagina and you should be able to pick it up. If not, move ever so lightly from one side to the other. Also, you do have to press down pretty firm.

These are not always reliable until at least 19-20w!!! Don't panic!!!!!

My midwife struggled to find mine because I have an anterior placenta and my baby was moving around too much for her to stay on it. We heard it for about 10 seconds. I'm almost 16 weeks and she's a professional. I'm so glad I never bought a doppler because I would have freaked myself out if I never found it. I'm sure everything is fine it's just too early.

Just had my 15 week appointment and baby scared us too.. turned out couldn't find heartrate with dopler and had to use ultrasound.. but ended up only being because baby was so active.. wouldn't stop moving and squirming and even trying to pin point it on ultrasound was difficult.. doc said she'd be concerned if and only the baby wasn't so active.. said way to active to be unhealthy..
