Another clomid question

Af should be here within the next 10 days and I have a question. My cycles have been ranging from 29-40 days since January when I had a d&c for a missed miscarriage. I will take 50mg clomid cd3-7 per my doctor. How soon after I take the last pill should I ovulate? When should I start having sex? My husband doesn't want me to use opks because it'll cause me to obsess and stress but I do get positive opks while not on clomid. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you
