First response or clear blue can detect pregnancy earlier than other brands, but that does not lower the validity of the test. At home pregnancy tests are considered 99.9% accurate by physicians. They can do a blood test or ultrasound for an even higher efficiency test. But it doesn't matter what brand you buy. They will be accurate.
