can't breathe?!

Question

Does anyone else feel like they can't breathe? Im 27 weeks and it feels like my insides are so squished that I can't get in enough air. Im taking massive gulps of air but feeling so short of breath! Why is this happening? And is there anything I can do to help?

I'm having that at 24 weeks. My doctor said it's normal and to sit up and stretch when it happens. It works. I can't lay down for long periods of time and at night I sleep with a fan in my face so I can enough air.

If i do anything I can't breath like I just ran a mile. I'm almost 29 weeks on Tuesday and I've been like this for a few. Nothing seems to make it better me.

Same here. I'm 28 weeks. Even slowtched on the couch I feel chocked. But in bed I'm at the point where laying on my back or anything I can't breath. So last night I elevated my side of the bed like you do when you are congested and I had two pillows under my head to prop up a little higher and it helped. But also helped me being congested. Seems like ever since I hit my 18 week part I've been using nasal spray almost every night. But seriously always out of breath and feeling like I'm chocked or if something is pinched off in my throat.

Because your insides are squished. As baby and it's home grows up... where do you think all your organs that usually sit there goes? 
Yup. They go up too, which squishes your lungs and makes it harder to breath. It sucks, especially if you're like me and have asthma. There really isn't much you can do except take as many rests as you need and try to find a comfortable position that makes it easier to breath
