Did sweeping your membranes make you go into labor?

I'm 40w2d and had my membranes sweeped a few hours ago, really hoping this will make labor come! Any success stories I would love to hear!

I got my second sweep done on Monday. Neither worked for me. Even went for a 2 mile walk on Monday after the sweep. Scheduled to be induced tomorrow night.

Got it done at 9 in the morning at 39 weeks and 5 days and went into labor around 12:30 that night. I went for a walk after they swept mine cause I really wanted it to work lol and I worked an 8 hour shift after that and didn't get home till 11:30 that night. The baby was out at 10 the next morning ❤️

I had it done and about 3 hours later I started with contractions 5 minutes apart, i had it done at 39wk4d and I had over 15 hours labor, and almost needed a c section because baby heart rate kept dropping and I wouldn't dilate, they checked me one last time before deciding on it and I was 10cm, so for me it did work.

I had it done at 40w2d at 10:45am and started getting contractions an hour and a half later. By the end of the night they were every 7 minutes. At 6am the next morning they were every 3 minutes. It took forever to dilate so I was in labor for a long time. I delivered my baby girl at 40w4d at 4:48am 💕Good luck! I hope it works for you!!!

I'm a believer. I got it done with my first son before my induction and I think it really helped move things along. Was only in labor for 4 hours. My best friend got it done on her due date and went into labor that night...my other friend got it done and went into labor two days later. I say it works!
