Nuvaring - itching

I am on my first month of Nuvaring (was on the patch before), and the whole month was good - no itching, no pain, no side effects, did not feel it all. Two days ago I was supposed to remove it (7 day break) and I did but it has been itching down there badly ever since removal. No extraordinary discharge or smell, just annoying itching. Will this go away or must me an allergic reaction I must worry about?
