Any nurses on? HELP?! COULD I BE PREGNANT?!

Question

We are both 20 and have been dating for 6 months.  We have been having unprotected sex (no condom) but I am on the birth control pill. 
I broke up with him 2 weeks ago. I was supposed to get my period on December 13th, but I am still without a period. I tested when I was 4 days late with my period and it came back negative. Was that too early ro test? 
Could I actually be pregnant?
I had some spotting for one day, but nothing like a normal period...
What is going on...?
I am never late..

Stress can cause periods to be late. You said you were due for your period dec 13 and nothing came and you tested 4 days after that (so the 17th) and today is the 29th and you still haven't received your period, test again. If test still shows negative call your doctor, they may want to do blood work because the pill should be helping your periods be on time but the pill is also not 100% effective. If you have missed a dose or taken any antibiotics then the pill loses its effectiveness and can cause you to become pregnant.

Your period can be late for a number of reasons. Go get a blood test if you want to know for sure, but just wait a few more days and test again. It's possible to get pregnant on the pill, though unlikely.
