how long should you be married before you have a baby?

My husband and I just got married in June. What is everyone's opinions on how long you should be married before having a baby. I'm not wanting one right now but I'm just curious what everyone thinks. I wanna wait till we are 100% ready but I'm scared that I'm never really going to think I'm ready, financially as well as mentally

U don't HAVE TO be married to have kids...actually being married with children has big financial disadvantages...being non married with kids, u get more back and more benefits.

If you go on the mindset of being financially ready, you never really are. Unless you're a billionaire. I have 50,000 of student loan debt, but I'm not giving up a family because of it. We also have a mortgage for the next 30 years of our lives, but I'm not giving up a family because of it. It's going to be when you are ready to share your love with a child and ready to bestow all your love and care to something else.

I have been married for 6 1/2 years. Still no baby. My husband and I wanted to wait 5 years.  Now I have ran into some problems and it is hard for me to conceive. My doctor said pregnancy is for young people and nobody feels 100% ready. But, it is up to you and your husband. But you need to at least make sure you have a stable relationship with your husband because you will have someone else in your life you would have to think about.

There is no set time line for having a baby. As long as you're comfortable with your partner and know them as a whole and your relationship is healthy, there's no perfect time. In terms of being financially and emotionally ready, I don't think anyone is ever 100% ready. You do what's right for you in the right timing. When you guys feel ready, go for it.

It's whatever feels right for you. You can weigh the financial benefits of being married vs not, debate timing, and run through scenarios forever. It's about what type of family unit you want and imagine for yourself. You can always be in a 'better place' financially or relationship wise. My husband and I dated for 2 years and were married for 2 before we decided to have a baby. That's what worked for us because we wanted time as a couple first. You'll know when the time is right and it'll happen when it's supposed to.
