Nexaplanon Issues?

I have the Nexaplanon implant in my arm and about three days ago I woke up and my arm was really sore where the implant is. I didn't sleep on that arm at all so I was a little confused. Then two days later, my entire arm was throbbing and just in a large amount of pain, and was really throbbing where the implant is. It lasted for roughly 12+ hours, all through the night. 
Now, it's quit hurting but it will randomly throb in the area the implant is in. 
I'm due to have it removed on the 12th, but I'm very worried that it may have broke or something, and they're going to have to dig. 
They already are going to have to go the extra step BC it sank deeper in my arm than normal, so I really don't want them to have issues retrieving it. 
Any one have any idea as to why it hurts?

Depending on which style of insertion tool used (old design was replaced a couple years ago in Australia due to complications during insertion, although I have heard of it still being in use recently in the past few months) it could be a fault of the manufacturers design of the actual applicator...i had troubles with the removal of my last implant and my mother who uses the same one also had complications. My mothers complications lead to her having to get surgical procedures done by a neurologist that had to clean up damaging scars around her nerves which still affect her use in her fingers now but her situation was the absolute worst case scenario...you may find that it's mostly pinching of scar tissue and/or internal bruising if it's only been done recently as that is the most common form of discomfort but, one thing I always believe and promote, DON'T trust the Internet or forums for a final diagnosis. The best medical advice is from the pros so if you can, get it checked out immediately or, at least, if you notice any worsening or continual/constant pain and forms of discomfort that you don't feel is right. Mine causes random discomfort but for myself i know that it's ok...if you're still not sure even after getting it checked out, get a second opinion...it's a foreign object in your body and your body might not be too happy about it...

Oh and btw my mum had severe complications because hers was bent into a horseshoe shape almost...they're quite flexible bits of clear plastic to look at some don't worry about it breaking....my mum only bent hers permanently from playing with it so much too hahaha 😘

Also my first was in too deep so instead of one scar I have two so that is another possibility...it might not look so pretty but it won't cause much more damage or trauma than what is normal...my two scars in pic lol ❤
