sex before period?

So my period is supposed to start in 4 days, my BC is condoms. I'm wondering if I could have unprotected sex rn and not get pregnant? I know that sperm can only last up to a certain amount of days and I know that you can get pregnant if you have sex on your period. But if I have sex a few days before and my period flushes everything out will I be okay?

It all depends on when you ovulate, not when your period is. You generally ovulate two weeks before your period, but every woman is different. If you have unprotected sex near ovulation, you can get pregnant. If you aren't positive when you ovulated, use protection if you're going to have sex.
