I cheated on my exhusband. He was a heroin addict and I couldn't stand him. It doesn't mean I was right but I never loved him the way I love my present husband. I could never hurt him in a million years.

I've cheated, on my ex. The guilt alone taught me a lesson. I'd never do it again. I'd address the issues that led me to cheating before it could ever get that far.

No, people can change if they want, for example if someone has cheated as a teenager when they didn't really think about it that doesn't mean they will continue cheating their whole life. However, I would not forgive it and that would be a deal breaker to me.

I had boyfriends cheat, blah blah. My child father cheated on me while engaged, preterm labor, actual labor, hospital dying, & after going home. (We got married when I was 13 weeks pregnant)....

He never changed, 4 years later, he still hadn't changed. He's remarried with another child and still cheats.

just broke up with my boyfriend today for this reason. We've been together 7 months and he's cheated on me with his ex 3 times and tried getting with my cousin..... each one he promised he would never do it again. People can change but they have to grow up first.

This sounds silly but sometimes making a mistake teaches you never to do that again. My SO cheated on me once while very drunk, largely because he missed me.

However, he has never cheated on anyone before and I believe he never will again because he feels terrible about it and has seen what it has done to me.

As someone who has more self control than that - I've never cheated, even when I knew I didn't want to be with my ex - I do think people can change and learn.

Of course people can change! As long as they really want to and see its a problem. The question is if you are willing to deal with it. As for me HELL NO lol, but i do believe people can change.

People can change but that rarely happens. If I can be loyal as hell then the other person has the capability of being loyal also. I don't tolerate that.
