Divorce Party?!

If my good friend was getting a divorce and  her friend is also getting a divorce and another mutual friend was throwing a divorce party for my good friend.  They are gong on a sunset cruise with just girls.  Is it wrong of me to go being that I am happily married to my husband or should I not support that at all?

Why is that a question? Your friend is leaving an unhappy situation and is celebrating it. Be there and support her and thank your lucky stars your marriage is still happy and loving. Hers wasn't.

Not wrong at all.  The status of their marriages has nothing to do with yours.  It would be the same if you were to throw a vow renewal party, you wouldn't want them to not show because they are divorced.  Go have fun, and let them know that marriage can work, because you are so happy in yours!

I think I would get them something nice and maybe treat them to lunch before they head off on the trip. 
I personally  wouldn't be comfortable and I don't think I would even want my husband to feel any way. Because I know if he told me he was going on a divorce party trip with the guys I would be a lil uneasy

My 4 sisters and I went on a girls weekend to Cabo when my oldest sister's divorce got finalized. Everyone else is happily married. It was such a fun weekend to celebrate my sister getting freed from her unhealthy and unhappy marriage.

I think you should support your friend. Doesn't have to be via the party maybe something ur more comfortable with. If my friend were getting divorced and was happy about it, and was having a party then I'd go.
