Why won't baby fall asleep after bottle feeding?

Hello! My baby is almost 6 weeks old and we are mostly breastfeeding.
At night, in order to help me out, we are trying to introduce formula via bottle.  It doesn't seem to matter what we do, but baby really fights going to sleep after this bottle feeding. Does anyone's have recommendations or ideas as to why this keeps occuring? I'm actually getting less sleep right now and really need some help.

My partner has similar trouble with the night time bottle feedings, or in general getting our son to sleep. I think it's because baby just wants mom, he still thinks you're one being and is technically still gestating. This is the fourth trimester. My partner still struggles but a couple tricks that have been helping him are swaddling and rocking him while playing sounds of running watter from YouTube as well as placing one of my breast pads into the swaddle. Generally anything that smells like mom is comforting. But that doesn't always work, again, mom has the magic touch. So another thing we do is I will feed him and soothe him to sleep. That is when I leave my partner with the baby. This way dad is left with the baby sleeping at least for a while before he wakes up to feed. It makes it easier for the two of them until I wake up, and I can get about 5 hours this way. Be careful not to sleep more than 6 hours yourself. It's important to regularly express breastmilk every 2-4 hours durring the day and no more than 6 hours at night. As difficult as that sounds, loosing your milk supply and trying to regain it will be much more frustrating. 
Hope this helps. A last suggestion, have you tried a baby swing? Some babies love them and fall asleep easily in them, not mine, but remember every baby is different. You'll get there soon enough. Worse case you ask your partner to do what they can to entertain the baby whole you get a few hours of needed sleep.

My baby will only fall asleep at the boob at night. So I half co-sleep. He falls asleep and 30 min later I put him in the pack n play. He sleeps longer and better that way.

Maybe their days and nights are flipped. During the day you want a sleep feed awake cycle. But if it's not that then I am unsure hopefully someone can help! ☺
