I took a clear blue ovulation test and had a peak in the 11th. Can anyone let me know how many days past ovulation am I???😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬TWW!🤷🏻‍♀️

OPKs are Ovulation PREDICTOR kits. They give you a PREDICTION of when ovulation may occur, but more importantly, when you will be the MOST fertile.

You will *RARELY* ovulate on the *same day* you have a positive OPK.

➡Most likely you will ovulate the following day.

Sometimes you will ovulate 2 days after your positive OPK.

RARELY you will ovulate 3 days from the positive opk.

All the time your opk will turn negative sometime after your last + opk. 🚫 That is NOT confirmation of ovulation.

The LH prepares your body to finish maturing and release the egg. It's not an instant process. It takes 12 hours at minimum, 72 at maximum...

But it is possible to have an LH surge that does NOT result in ovulation.

The only true confirmation of ovulation is an ultrasound OR resulting pregnancy.

To have the highest chance of pregnancy, sperm should be waiting for the egg. The closer you time sex with ovulation, the higher the chance of pregnancy.

Sperm can live up to 5 days inside of you rarely,  but usually only 3 days (more common lifespan).

If you had sex on the 11th, but ovulated on the 13th, the sperm will have been waiting 48 hours to find the egg. Not terrible, but not as great as sperm only waiting 24 hours.

I hope this helps clear up confusion about using opks to predict ovulation.

4-5 dpo probably. A positive opk means you might ovulate 1-2 days later but doesn't guarantee it will happen.

You ovulate 12 to 36 hours on average after a positive opk, but it can take up to 72 hours... Glow will tell you've ovulated the day after a +. I'd go with that, but keep in mind it could be a little later.

Thats why it's important to have sex in the days following a + opk. If you aren't and counting a + as ovulation day, but are getting pregnant it's because you're not having sex your peak fertile days.
