Help, please!!!

Alright ladies I am in need of some serious advice!

My baby is 20 days old and won't sleep on his back, only on my chest or in my arms. He can be in deep sleep and as soon as I try to lay him down in the crib as slowly and gently as possible and am about to sing victory, he cries ....I have been sleeping on the recling couch kinda sitting/ leaning back a little with him on my chest just to get him some sleep at night I have a boppy pillow on me so he won't roll off I was wondering if any of you have been through this with their little and how you fixed it?!?😔😔😔😔
