switching from nuva ring to iud-what to expect?

I've had the nuva ring for over three years and have been really satisfied with it, but with the trump presidency now I'm worried that the price will go up from it being free to it being really expensive. I'm seriously considering an iud but I have some questions: what's the best brand? what should I expect initially? will it help with acne? what's a copper iud? any tips in general? Thanks for any help!

I have the copper IUD and I love it! Unlike hormonal IUDs, copper IUDs prevent pregnancy because the copper that it's made out of creates an inhostpitable environment in your uterus for a pregnancy to occur. The hormonal IUDs work by releasing hormones in your uterus. The insertion hurts but after that you're good to go for anywhere from 3-10 years depending on which one you get and you can have it removed if you decide you'd like to try for a baby. They're one of the most effective methods of BC available. If you have lots of questions I'd suggest you talk to your doctor about what the different options are and ask them your questions, they can probably make a good recommendation for you, and/or do some research on reputable websites (planned parenthood has great info about birth control options including IUDs on their website).
