I don't think this is normal? He is a week old I took the diaper of it had blood on it too should I take him to get checked or what should I do

If you don't think it's normal, call your doc. I personally call about everything to be on the safe side. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Wipe it off good with alcohol, it'll help dry the umbilical cord. Also fold the top of the diaper (front, not back!) down it may just be from the diaper rubbing against it. If it falls off early the pediatrician will put silver nitrate on it (if I'm not mistaken.)

My sons fell of at 2 weeks, he was & is fine 😊
