how many bottles do I need if I'm planning on breastfeeding?

I'm planning breastfeeding and then going back to work 1 day a week after 12 weeks. Hoping to breastfeed for the first 6 months. How many bottles should I have? Do I need a bottle warmer or sterilizer?

I used about 4 bottles for my little man. Sterilizer is def not needed I would just occasionally boil all the bottle parts (dr says not sterilize bottles too often). I also never had a a bottle warmer and just warmed up the milk by placing the bottle (that container milk) in hot water.

Just buy one or two of your top 2 brands. Try them out and see if baby is ok with them. Once you get the brand that you like I think a set of 2 small ones, 2 big ones should be fine (depends how long your work day is and how many feeds would baby be getting).
A sterilizer is up to you. Pediatrician now say no need unless the baby is a preemie or has issues. I personally prefer to have one. I just consider it like a tiny dishwasher for baby's stuff. I don't go crazy with it though. You can also check out the microwave ones or the steam bags.
The warmer is nice to have but again not a necessity. We used to warm bottles in a mug of hot water when we were out. I used the warmer more to warm up the food cubes when he started solids.

I would buy one bottle of a few different brands and see which one the baby likes better and then buy maybe 4 of those type..it just depends on wether you mind washing the bottles throughout the day. Some people would rather get extra and wash them all at the end of the day.

I bought about 6-8 bottles with my first. Just in case lol. I don't think a sterilizer is absolutely necessary, but I did find a bottle warmer to be a life saver.
