premie baby / steroids
I'm 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant with the high possibility that my baby will be born between tomorrow and Sunday! My doctor gave me two doses of steroids 24 hours apart. The last one being yesterday at 4. Obviously she will be in NICU with being born so early, but I've heard great things about the steroids assisting in the baby's development. Has anyone been in a similar position? How long was your baby in NICU? How long was it until they could breathe on their own, etc? It makes me nervous so any info you have to a similar experience would be nice to have. Thanks!
Additional note;
It isn't labor that is causing this early birth, it's my health problem and the doctor wants to deliver early! So there's not much I can do!
