We arrived at hospital 3cm dilated and expected to be sent home. The midwife didn't believe we would be in active labour for sometime but 1.5 hrs later the baby decided it was coming, to which the midwife said 'your baby is about to make this midwife' look very silly.
The midwife suddenly rushed off saying the birthing pool would be ready shortly.
Within an hour our daughter was born and we watched her swim up through my legs and up into my arms.
I was so pleased to have a quick but natural birth with no pain relief.
