My first born was a boy now 2 yrs later I'm having a girl. Should I have a baby shower since I have no girl things or since I already have a child should it just be a sprinkler?

I pretty much had the same situation and I did have a baby shower. I just let people know we only need a girly things not any of the big baby items that we already had. And I made it more about games and family getting together then getting things

every baby deserves a shower unless you are having back to back babies of the same gender or at less than 18 months apart then a sprinkle shower is more in order or a diapering party.  My 2 will be 5 yrs apart and I have zero baby stuff. Also I have a cousin with 4 and every time her youngest girl out grew baby things she got rid of them and 6 months to a year later she was pregnant again so really it isn't tacky or greedy to have a party to celebrate the baby just judge the size and type based on the need for the baby.

We had a sprinkle. Mainly for clothes and new glass bottles (switching from plastic).

I would say a sprinkle would suffice. You'll need a couple new gadgets/updated baby items and then obviously girls clothes but you should still have the major items.
