What age do you think your son should stop going to public restrooms with you?

With so many creepy people I still have my son that is 7 go to the restroom with me but not the same stall just next to me

I still take my son and he will be 9 in a few weeks and my step mom still takes my little brother and he is 11... but he is on the small side.. I think I will stop taking my son to the restroom with me when he gets facial hair or because a giggling teen boys ( the little boys that giggle about boobs) or we just utilize the family restrooms if they are available... it has been times I stood in the door way of the men's bathroom and had my son sing his ABC's very loud so I am able to hear him and know if anything goes wrong

I still make my brother go in the women's restroom if it's not a single restroom he's 10

I don't have a boy, I have 2 stepdaughters so that might be a different story. Oldest one is 10 and goes by herself for a while now. The youngest one is 7, and I won't go in the same stall as her anymore, but I'll go in the restroom wth her. Or her sister goes in with her.

I can't put an age but, generally boys and girls of the same age are not allowed to sleep in the same bedroom once they reach school age, usually 5. I think 5 is too young, general knowledge of observed behavior should tell someone a child is old enough to use a bathroom on their own, given their maturity level of safety.
