One of my very best guy friends was seeing a woman casually for a month or so. They had a mishap, and there's a chance that she could now be pregnant. He is fully willing to take on the responsibility of being there through everything, but he doesn't want to commit to a relationship with her just because she might be pregnant. She, on the other hand, has become super clingy and controlling. She has made it clear that she wants a relationship, and she got very defensive and angry when he tried to discuss it with her. What should he do?

Her being so clingy/emotional could be due to her hormones or the fact that she might be using a pregnancy scare as a tactic to keep him around.

He can still be supportive even if she is pregnant but it doesn't mean they have to officially be in a relationship just because he's actually taking responsibility and not just avoiding the situation... She sounds like she's trying to play him around a bit he needs to be careful and tell her straight about how he feels and if he doesn't want a relationship so be it! If he's there and caring then what's the problem?

No way, he doesn't need to be in a relationship with her just because she may be pregnant! He can support her and the baby and who knows, it may lead to a relationship but being in one just because he thinks he should isn't going to be right for either of them!

Also you say she may be pregnant, are you sure she's not one of these physcos who makes this shit up to trick the man into being with her? I'd be asking for a test if I were him, she sure sounds like a bit of a nut!!
