can your s/o feel your strings?

I got my IUD placed in January and my boo tells me all the time that the strings stab him. My doctor said the strings are a bit longer than normal but not to worry about it. Should I get them trimmed? Helpppp!!!

Yes and yes, get them trimmed! I got mine trimmed as much as I could and he can still feel them. But we use condoms most of the time and he can't feel them with one on now

Hmm. They're not supposed to stab your boyfriend, and trimming them might actually make it worse because it will probably jut downwards and not curl and tuck (it is ideal for them to be long enough to curl around your cervix). You can try to push them around a bit and reposition the strings as best as you can, but I doubt your doctor will see the benefit in trimming them.

My OH could feel them after I first had mine. I've had mine 8 months now and he can't feel it anymore. I was going to get mine trimmed but I've been having really heavy irregular bleeding so kept having to cancel the appointments x
