Thoughts on Cohen

So I am not Jewish but we love the name Cohen for our little boy. I just learned recently how this can be offensive to Jewish people but I'm still thinking about using the name. Anyone have thoughts on this? Do you automatically think a boy is Jewish if his first name is Cohen? Or no?? No negative comments needed, I already am fully aware of the Jewish community's views. Thank you.
