Why is my baby so small ?

So today I went in for my weekly appointment (37 weeks) and my baby is measuring small , two weeks ago he estimated baby to be 7 pounds 12 ounces and so last week they told me to start trying to dilate , I go in today and they measure me and baby has made little progress so now they estimate he'll be 5 pounds 15 ounces , he said which is okay weight because I'm going in for vbac and I also have GD with controlled diet , soo question is how accurate is the estimate without US ?

My 1st they told me she was weighing 8lb 5oz, she came out 6lb 7oz.. my 2nd baby they said 7lb and she was 7lb and 11oz.. as of now I am 36weeks they are telling he weighs 6lbs 15oz

I was 5 lbs 11 oz when I was born. My mom had me 3 days before her due date. And my husband was also full term and weighed between 5 and 6 lbs at birth. They already think our daughter is going to be on the smaller side. I go Friday for an ultrasound and hopefully get an estimated weight.

I wouldnt worry. My daughter was born 5 pounds 13 oz at birth and healthy as can be. My son was born 6 pounds 12 oz and my daughter was 7 pounds 9 oz.. at 35 weeks this baby os 4 pounds 9 oz only

The estimates can be way off, or they can be accurate. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've heard that those weight estimates can be wildly inaccurate. Is the doctor concerned? If not, I would try not to worry (but I know that will be hard!)

They can't estimate the weight of the baby by measuring your bump.. and that seems like a big difference in weight for each time you've been measured 🤔
