Why are some parents so judgmental?

I was just reading a lady ask what is some good movies for her 1 year old. They was taking a long car ride and she wanted a couple movies to keep him entertained along the way. Why some people was helpful some was just (pardon my French) assholes. Why would you let your 1 year old watch t.v./DVD and blah blah blah. Just ridiculous how some people can sit on their high horse and judge like they do everything right. I wouldn't be so annoyed but I see a lot of this, downing mom's on how they do things. Give people a break, if they are in no way harming their kid, let them breath.
