Did you get your membrane stripped?

Any other comments please let me know, its my choice the midwife told me ; I want to be sure of my desision. I want to know everyone's experience. Does it hurt ? Did it work for you ?

I did, found it uncomfortable but not painful. I went into labor 30 hours later!

They gave me the option at 40 and 41 weeks . The first time was unsuccessful,  just pretty uncomfortable.  The second time I went into labor that same day !

Membrane stripped twice after 40 wks, it was fairly painful and didn't work for me. I was induced with pitocin at 41 wks, at which point my cervix still had not dilated at all. Every woman responds differently and for me- my body was simply reluctant to go into labour.
