So my hair is as soft as cotton and my skin is kissed by the sun, can you guess who I am? Yes, I am a black women.
This isn't a post to discredit the beauty of women who don't look like me, but a post to celebrate the ones who do look like me.
So I am a 19 y/o black girl. Over the last year and a half I have become the most celebratory black girl I know. I celebrate my curls my slightly darker skin my full lips and where I'm descendent from. I've celebrated the beauty of my fellow black women in whatever shade, shape or creed. I do this because no one tells us how beautiful we are how strong we are. Some people may think they don't need to hear it but, I think everyone should hear how much support and love they have behind them. I want other people to see that yes we are different but don't treat us different because of something we had no control over. Although I didn't choose to be black if I had the chance to change my race I wouldn't for anything in the world. I would like people to love us as we do you. If you really get to know us we are generally kind and caring people.
