TTC after IUD removal...

I have 2 kids from a previous relationship. Now that I'm married my husband and I want to have one of our own. I had an IUD in for 6+ years. It was Meraina. My first one had to be surgically removed do to the fact the person placed it in wrong. But dunno why after that I got a second one.... had it removed a few wks ago, no period or anything yet but we have been TTC... how long does all the medicine from the IUD take to wear off in your body? How long does it take to TTC after removing it?
