reporting birth

Question for you ladies who had a bad birth and reported to hospital. My LO was born not breathing and spent 2 weeks in nicu she's fine now but has a lot of milestones to hit and follow up appointments. I finally called and filed a formal complaint with the hospital after reviewing my records they lied about when a csection was offered and the nurse was unprepared when shit hit the fan so to say. I know something went wrong and just don't want someone else to go through it. For those who reported issues to hospitals did they really admit fault?
