induction

I'm 37 weeks & 5 days pregnant with my first baby & i have an appointment with my ob on tuesday and she told me we can schedual an induction if i wanted too but when she checked me like 3 days ago i wasn't even dilated.😭 if i accept the induction with no dilation can i end up having a c section? I heard some people say that if they induce me and I'm not dilated that means my body and baby are not ready it can end up in a c section dilivery but other people have told me otherwise. Any other mommies that have gone through this and ended having a a vag. Dilivery?
