Owlet smart socks?

Owlet Smart Sock is designed to notify you if your baby's oxygen levels or heart rate fall out of a preset range.

I feel like heard something about this and then not being safe but I'm not sure my brain is in overload between all baby stuff I've been learning and finals coming up. Any opinions?

THERE IS NO RADIATION WHATSOEVER in this device! It is a pulse ox. It is nothing more than infrared light. It is no more dangerous than the lightbulb you use in your house. I think the device can be great. I spent the first year of my son's life watching him sleep (in turn getting no sleep) out of fear that he would stop breathing, and SIDS. It can give some peace of mind. I personally will get one.

Unnecessary. Mothers intuition is best. We can sense when something is wrong with our baby. We been doing it since forever. Plus I don't want to bombard my baby with anymore radiation than I need to. That device is wireless and constantly communicating.

It doesn't work off of radiation, they are safe to use, but there's nothing to support that it actually helps...so it's a lot of money to spend for guesses, and it's certainly not neglectful to not use them, and it's typically not even recommended...
