Should I get off my birth control?

I have been on my Bc for almost 3 years. I feel like my body doesn't need all the extra hormones. Can somebody give me there input? Agree? Disagree? Have you done it and we're you happy you did it? I am sexually active and have been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years. We know the risk of pregnacy and we are prepared to use a lot of condoms. We know that a baby right now is not the right time but if it were to happen on accident we would be ok.

I don't take both control because of medical reasons. I've tried multiple forms and the only thing that is safe for me is condoms. I have yet to become pregnant however, we both know the risk and we're both welcoming and accepting if I do become pregnant. We're completely financially stable and can afford to have a child, we just aren't necessarily trying at the moment.

Be careful 
If you are not are ready to be a parent I would not get off birth control...
I was having problems with my birth-control at one point. And my doctor had a real moment with me and asked what would "you rather have as a side effect, occasional spotting or a child your 100% responsible for?" 
It's about choices and what you are will to risk. Nobody can tell you what to do with your body

My boyfriend and I are sexually active and have been since we started dating. Our only form of birth control is condoms and we're very smart with them. If we think it might have torn we stop and check and get a new one of we need to. In three years I've not been pregnant and I plan to keep it that way. It is definitely doable. If you don't want to be on bc, go for it!
