my date isn't going to prom with me anymore

I can't stop crying. He just asked out some other girl and they are going together now. They don't sell tickets anymore so I can't go with anyone else. Most of my friends aren't going and the ones that are they already have dates. I hate my life so much. I wanted to go with him so bad. Sometimes I would be in my room wearing my dress and thinking about that day, practicing dancing. I'm really sad. It really hurts. I'm not going anymore because i don't want to go alone. I feel so embarrassed because I told a few people that I was going with him and I don't want to tell people that he isn't going with me and that I'm not going anymore because it's embarrassing. I wish he didn't do that to me. I hate my life. My face is numb from crying so much. Idk what to do. How do I handle this? See the thing is I really love him. I don't want anyone else I just want him and he is hurting me so much. I don't think he feels bad at all.
