How many moms ended up single/ separated after having your baby?

I just had my second child and left their dad shortly after my Son was born. My older Daughter just turned 9 this month. It has been a very surreal experience. He was abusive (verbally mostly,) controling, and jealous. He had his good points, but the bad began to outweigh the good over the years. I'm having a hard time knowing how to handle him now. He calls every day begging to come back. I don't intend on allowing that. He tells me that he really wants be be around the kids, but won't make any changes for the better. I'm terrified that my son could grow up modeling his father (the negative aspects), and that would be tragic. I love my babies so much and just want the best for them! I just want them to be happy. (Me too.)

I'm staying with my mother. I have been a stay at home mom, homeschooling my daughter for the last ten years. I don't have a job. And it's scary being single without an income, wondering what to do to support my kids. I really would like to have a job I can do from home. I don't see any sense in working to pay for daycare, and my daughter has blossomed learning at home. I want to give that opportunity to my son as well. I just don't know where to start. Pyramid schemes and door to door sales aren't options.

I don't have specific questions to ask. I wanted to see what advice or comments you all had to give. Thank you
