BE CAREFUL WITH BABY FOOD!!!

I gave my son the Gerber macaroni and veggies puree for dinner it was in the category "sitter". I scanned over the ingrediants but somehow missed the ingrediant "egg whites". The evil food known to cause allergic reactions in young children. My son is 5 and a half months old and has been on purees for a month now with the guidance of his pediatrician. So back to my story. I did everything else the same and I put him to bed. He slept until about 6 in the morning when I went in there to give him a feeding. What I found was vomit everywhere. All over him, all over everything in his bed. In his hair, his eyes, everything. So I hurried and took him for a shower and cleaned him off and gave him benadryl. He's covered in a red puffy rash. My heart is seriously broken.... I've been crying all morning, blaming myself. I'm so lucky that my son sleeps on his stomach since he has discovered rolling over. If he would have been on his back there's no doubt in my mind I could have lost him ... i just want moms to be aware of this so you don't have to go through this.
