baby shower gifts?

Hi ladies so my MIL best friend literally bought usbeverything for the baby. So when we make our registry we just plan to put simple things on it. Is it bad to request gift cards? Like Visa cards or target or baby places or is that rude?

Nope it's not rude. When people ask you what you want or what you need tell them gift cards are best. :)

Not rude at all! We included gift cards on our registry too (easier for our out of town relatives). We alsoasked  for diapers & books.

I specifically asked for clothes, breast milk storage bags and gift cards. I'll accept a box of diapers.... but I would hate to have to exchange them if I have too many of one size. I had a horrible time with it with my first. Wal-Mary has a return policy where you can only do it so many times.
