Career choice
I don't really know where to post this so health and lifestyle seemed like the best place...
I currently work at McDonald's. I like my job. I just need to leave because of the managers. I had a job interview yesterday for a room attendant job in a hotel. He said he was happy to take me on and to train me up etc but wants me to think about it all over the weekend; if leaving McDonald's is what I want to do. But honestly, I don't know. I need to leave but I want to stay. I'm currently on £5.10 an hour at McDonald's but if I take this new job I'll be on £7.05. I work anywhere from 3-5 days a week 5-8 hours a day at McDonald's but this new job would be 5 days a week (inc weekends which is fine, I currently work weekends anyway) but would be 5-6 hours a day unless I wanted to work a bit more. I wanna take the new job because it means me and my other half would be able to save up to get our own place quicker and be able to afford somewhere nicer.
I just don't want to leave McDonald's because I'm like I've said, I enjoy working there and I've made so many friends I'd feel bad if I left because I'd never get to see them and I'm scared we'll drift apart. But at the same time, I'm happy to leave them and start over somewhere different.
If you were in this situation, what would you do?
Also, there's a 6 month probationary period at the job I have been offered and if I'm not not up to standard by the end of it, they will let me go so I'll be unemployed
