Calling anyone in the health care field for opinions!
My husband was in the military and we were always moving so I found an online degree program for my bachelors in allied health. I'm due to graduate this time next year. Since there's not a lot of options for work after I get this degree (because I don't have a foundation in any health care field) I decided to apply to a two year BSN program when I'm done. I spoke with an advisor yesterday at my local community college and they offer and integrative nursing program with the University here (who has one of the top nursing programs in the state) if I halt my studies at my online school and focus on my prerequisite courses for this program, I could be graduated with my BSN in three years as well. I'm torn on what to do. If I wait until I graduate to apply to the traditional pathway, I have a much lower chance of being accepted to this particular program, but at least I have a degree under my belt. If I stop, I can really focus on getting my GPA up through the pre requisites, have a better chance of acceptance and graduation, but lose all the progress in my current program. I'm at a loss!
