what helped you to get pregnant after getting off birth control (depo)

I have a month and a half left on my depo shot. I want to start ttc again. I heard after the shot it can take awhile to get pregnant but I only had one shot so would that make my chances better and concieve earlier?? What helped you get pregnant after getting off the shot or any type of birth control??

It took my over half a year for things to become normal after the depo. I got pregnant a few months after, but miscarried, I personally think it was because my hormones were wacky. I got pregnant about 7 months or so after the depo spot supposedly wore off. My doc put me on progesterone and I had healthy pregnancy. Side note, my husband and I weren't trying (but also weren't being careful not to), we used the pull out method, but occasionally didn't pull out.

Just depends on how fertile you are I guess. I was on depo on and off from the age of 17 to 21 I finally became pregnant but miscarried at 25yrs old and I am now 29yrs and 21weeks pregnant.

They say it can take 1-2 years after depo. I'm about to turn 35. I'd been on it for six years, had my last shot in August.  Got preggers in October (miscarried), and again  three months later in January. I'm 20 weeks now.

Mind you, the doc had given me a while talk after around October that the odds were stacked against me, and that we'd have to wait about a year before we tried chemical conception. We weren't "trying" bc we just figured it wouldn't take that easily/ would be a long while if/when we did get pregnant.

I stopped the pill after seven years and got pregnant immediately. I would start taking folic acid right now so your body can start getting ready. Other than that, it's gonna depend on your body and she. It wants to ovulate again. Eat a healthy diet, reduce caffeine and alcohol intact if you drink a lot. Start light exercise if you don't already. A healthy body will kick itself into working as it should, barring anything keeping you from ovulating.

After 10 yrs of being on the iud, i just kept track of my cycle (download an app that'll tell you what days you're fertile) and after 4 mths of trying it worked 😉
