When did your placenta kick in ?

And how did you know that it did ? I have never had morning sickness, so judging by that wouldn't tell me much . I'm 11W2D.

Placenta should take over by 8-9 weeks. I've been through multiple pregnancies via ivf and they takes us all off the progesterone/estrogen shots at 10 weeks because by then the placenta is fully functioning.

I don't know what that means?.. and I'm still having morning sickness at almost 20 weeks.... but I quit having to cover my face to breathe in the same room as people smoking at like 13 or 14 weeks if that counts for anything?

It's around 12 weeks because I had a corpus luteum cyst and the doctor told me it would go away after 12 weeks once the placenta takes over
