Can being a non smoker really help?

Question

I hear different things from many doctors about smoking. Now I know it is bad for you and damaging to myself .. but .. does it really help your fertility now I have stopped ? I have smoked for many years and now I finally feel ready to quit (only quit today) could me smoking be the cause of not getting pregnant for 4 years ?! Tell me your smoking stories and what happened or not happened to you. 👍

What works for one may not the other. Smoking is damaging to your health. Imagine what it does to your unborn child and afterwards.

Nicotine is harmful to you. It can affect the health of your eggs and it slows down and damaged a mans sperm. On top of this it also does serious harm to an unborn baby! I absolutely hate seeing mothers smoke while pregnant it's horrible. Whatever you intakes through pregnancy your baby intakes so effectively your letting your unborn baby smoke... there may be no indication while the child is young that they have health issues but they still can. It can cause low birth weight, premature birth and increase SIDS (because it can damage your child's lungs). As a mother of a premature baby who had Chronic lung disease... I would never ever risk even lighting one cigarette whilst pregnant. My friend got told not to quit by her doctor in her first pregnancy... her son is nearly 2. He had a cough for nearly a full year then got told it was allergies and got given an inhaler as he was struggling to breathe. She found out she was pregnant in January and smoking made her throw up. Her child now no longer has a cough and doesn't need an inhaler throughout the day only in the morning and at night... and she doesn't even smoke inside the house only on the back door. So yes smoking damages!! It's not even worth the damn risk

There are resources out there that say it can improve fertility. It's not a guarantee and certainly doesn't mean those that smoke won't conceive.
