Am I a bad friend for this?

I have a small friend group, there's only 7 people in it and 2 of my friends like eachother. I really don't want them to date because I feel like it could split up the group. I also feel like the girl would take advantage of the guy because he doesn't know better. If they date I kinda hope they break up. I also think the girl is using him to get to prom...

Last year our group used to have like 12 people and then two of them dated ( different from the people that like eachother now) and broke up. It broke up our group to the seven that we have now and we don't talk to them anymore. I'm just afraid that history will repeat itself.

Am I a bad friend for not wanting them to date/ break up if they do?

If they really want to date they will. You will go through a ton of friends in life. People come and go like a revolving door. Some people stay some don't. I know you are coming from a place that you don't want to break up the group. They may see it more as jealousy or being envious that it's not you Or are bitter or possessive etc. Who knows with people. But all you can do is be supportive that's what a friend does. Even if you don't agree with it. You still have to. I know it sucks but you can't control people or what they do. They are going to do it sometimes just to piss you off. People suck a lot of the times. I'm sorry if they ruin your group but you just know they were not worth having them around if they leave.
