We've been doing BLW since she was 6 months. she used to actually swallow everything. Now she stuffs it all in her mouth, chews a little but then lets it sit and keeps shoveling more in there. It either dissolves or falls out. Is this just a phase?

I've noticed mine has been stuffing more and more in as well. She'll start flapping like a baby bird and makes this humming sound. My take is that they're practicing to see how much they can fit while chewing. When it falls out she'll pick it up and start taking smaller bites. As for the waking, I read that there's an 8 month regression. When my daughter doesn't drink enough formula, the next day I won't offer any solids so she can get back to her regular intake. It also can be teething or the flow of the nipple is too slow. I've recently switched to a size 2 because she'd get aggravated and stop drinking. Since the switch it's been better.

The waking at night is normal it's called reverse cycling and I'd bet the feeding thing is normal. Remember with BLW you don't need to worry because it's about tasting food and learning to chew which she's doing. I'd give her time and everything will get back on track

My little guy still does that sometimes. Lately, he's been shoving his mouth full of food and then shrieking and giggling until it all falls out, then he does it again. He's still eating some, though. I got some veggie puffs that he loves and we feed him frozen fruit in a mesh teether cause he's getting two teeth right now. I think that it's normal for growth to plateau at this age. A lot of babies this age are teething and won't nurse/drink from a bottle as much as well as being distracted. My LO slept well for like a week and now he's awake every two hours or more frequently and I'm so tired. At least he's cute lol.

Side note, she'll swallow those stupid teething wafers, and water from a sippy cup, but real food she just kinda.. forgets about?? I'm kinda worried because she has sorta plateaued on her growth chart and also wakes up like every 2 hours at night for a bottle because she's not getting enough to eat during the day. I am offering the bottle before food obviously.
