Do heteroromantic asexuals belong in the LGBT+ community?

I'm heteroromantic asexual and over the years I have noticed and been told that I don't belong in the community. I have found it very frustrating and unfair to exclude people like me because the LGBT+ community should be accepting of every one because we have all struggled with our identities and we could all use the support from people who have been through similar experiences. I would like to hear from different people in the community if you agree with me or disagree and please explain why.

Well yes cause the plus includes LGBTQAI etc etc etc that A there is you! I'm bisexual but married in a hetero passing relationship and don't feel included either. Not that I personally tried very hard to be included but yeah there is a weird "you're not gay enough" thing some people put on you, or you put on yourself. Not everybody obviously but it does happen~~

Like Asexuals/aromantics are just completely disregarded by so many people and it's so terrible! Like you're being told that you just don't exist by members if your own community. If you are an asexual please remember that you are most definitely a part of this community and that nothing anyone says can change that ❤️

No, I don't think ace/aro people belong in the LGBT+ community unless they are trans, ace/LGB, or aro/LGB, etc. most people on here are talking about how the LGBT+ community is for everyone/everyone should be accepted and completely missing the point of what the LGBT+ community was made for.
People that experience same-sex attraction (bisexual/pan people included) or identify outside of the gender binary.
It's not about exclusion, it's not some club that people are fighting to get into. The fact that the biggest complaint amongst straight/cis aro/ace people that I see is that they "aren't being included" just proves my point. They don't have any real shared experiences that translate over to homophobia/transphobia well enough to really benefit from anything the LGBT+ community is working towards.
That combined with the superiority complex that many ace/aro people seem to have about being ace/aro that really seems more like thinly veiled homophobia than actually being proud of their sexuality/lack thereof.
THAT BEING SAID, I do think that ace/aro people should have safe places. ABSOLUTELY. I just don't think that space will be found within the LGBT+ community. The ace/aro community would be much better off making their own spaces and advocating for their own causes without trying to take spotlight from causes aimed to help LGBT+ people.
For instance, I think it would be wonderful if ace/aro people brought attention to consent and how important it is to know your partner's limits, since that's obviously very important to an ace/aro person. 
I say this all as respectfully as possible. I don't want to take away from ace/aro people's own experiences, I just don't think is the same as what LGBT+ people deal with.
